Property Disclosure

All Landlords are required to disclose if any of the following apply BEFORE a property is advertised for rent: 

  • Selling - if the landlord plans to sell the property within the next 3 months, or if they have engaged an agent to sell the property

  • Embedded Network - if the electricity is supplied through an embedded network, the details of this must be disclosed and written into the tenancy agreement

  • Death - if the premises is known to have been the location of a homicide
  • Minimum Housing Standards - if the property does NOT meet minimum housing standards
  • Smoke Alarm Compliance - provide a certificate of compliance upon request
  • Contamination: friable or non friable asbestos; contaminated by the use, cultivation or manufacture of drugs
  • HIA Order
